About the Provider

M. Mura Assifi, MD, is a surgical oncologist and is board-certified in general surgery and general surgical oncology. Dr. Assifi earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Massachusetts. She completed her general surgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and completed her surgical oncology fellowship at University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Dr. Assifi's clinical interests include gastrointestinal surgical oncology with a focus in minimally invasive treatment of malignant stomach, pancreas, biliary and liver diseases, and the treatment of advanced carcinomas in the peritoneal cavity.
