Nathan M Novotny, MD

Nathan Novotny, MD, is the director of International Outreach for Corewell Children's and Corewell  Health. He completed his training in pediatric surgery at Vanderbilt University after his General Surgery Residency at Indiana University. While at Indiana University, he completed a two-year research fellowship in both clinical and basic science research. He continues to be active in clinical research and surgical innovation. Dr. Novotny is passionately committed to global health and is a leader in the field with publications and leadership positions in international societies. He has established a fellowship training program abroad and is tasked with training an entire country of pediatric surgeons in minimally invasive surgery. Regardless of which country he is in, he is committed to providing the best possible operation through the least invasive option. He is an invited speaker at international meetings and has published innovative techniques in minimally invasive surgery in both the developed and developing world.
