Neal D Hillman, MD

When I was younger, I was fortunate to have a neighbor who mentored and encouraged me to pursue a career in medicine. After graduating from medical school and interning in general surgery, I developed my skills further with a cardiothoracic surgery residency, a congenital heart surgery fellowship, and a cardiothoracic research fellowship.

As a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon, I seek to be friendly, approachable, and trustworthy. I know that many of my patients are too young to understand why they don’t feel well, and I do my best to make their experience of getting the care they need less confusing and more comforting. I value the trust that patients and families place in me to treat their health issues, and I do my best to justify this trust in every area of my practice.

I love seeing patients smile when they leave the hospital. It’s beyond gratifying to know that I was instrumental in providing hope and healing to patients in need of my care.
