Nina is a wonderful addition to the ICCB team! She is very knowledgeable, kind and compassionate and does a great job at explaining things during the visit. She is very proactive on recommending health screenings as well, especially colonoscopies. You are very lucky to have her as part of your team!

She does not come across as compassionate or trying to help. She seems like she is trying to do things too by the book rather than working with the individual who is in front of her. If a person has a complex medical history, she needs to try harder to understand & help that person rather than chalking up any complaints they have to their medical history & ignoring the issues the patient raises.

This is what I sent via email after my appointment: I would like to share my very positive experience in hopes that there can be some type of acknowledgement. I visited with Nina Ong today for the first time. She was receptive to me in a way that felt very authentic. I appreciated not feeling as though my statements were being brushed off or categorized. She is also very personable. I felt understood and validated when discussing various topics. She shared knowledge that also made me feel better informed, so I felt reassured. Please let her know that the way she carries herself and provides information is refreshing and appreciated. She came off as someone who enjoys what she does and that she knows she is making a positive impact. She's definitely a positive asset to the Corewell Health team.

She was determined to inform me about the risk of not getting vaccinated to the point that I felt she was not hearing my request to not vaccinate. She was overly zealous about me getting vaccinated. More than any other care practitioner.
