I specialize in Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology, so I see a lot of patients dealing with acute or chronic pain. My approach is to address the pain at its source. By treating the underlying cause, we can work toward limiting long-term medication use and target the pain more effectively.

I like to start by discussing what is likely causing your symptoms and reviewing the treatments that make the most sense for you, based on your history, physical exam, and imaging results. I’m often asked, “Do I need surgery?” For chronic back and neck pain especially, I usually will initially recommend a non-surgical, step-by-step approach, including things such as physical therapy, targeted injections, and possibly minimally invasive spine treatments, which I’m particularly passionate about. Then, if these aren’t helping, we can discuss and help facilitate more invasive options, including surgery.

It's very rewarding to restore function to patients who have been limited in their physical activity. From playing more pain-free rounds of golf to simply making it to a grandchild’s football game, hearing about patients fulfilling their goals brings me joy.
