I chose medicine because I’ve always felt a deep calling to care for those who are sick and injured, and to be a positive force in my community. I was drawn to heart and lung disease because they demand relentless curiosity, precision, and compassion, and I wanted to be involved in the search for better treatments and cures. My surgical specialties include performing heart and lung transplants and implanting devices that support critically ill patients.

But It’s not just about fixing a heart; it’s about caring for the whole person. A devoted surgeon doesn’t just answer questions.
