About Rachel A Young
About the Provider
Rachel A Young, DO, grew up in Michigan and completed her doctorate at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She practices Family Medicine with a special interest in women's health and preventative medicine. She performs many in-office procedures and manages both acute and chronic conditions for all ages. Dr. Young loves caring for families and multiple generations. She also offers osteopathic manipulative medicine as a way to restore health and relieve pain for a number of conditions. Dr. Young serves as the Program Director of the Corewell Health Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe Family Medicine Residency, where she sees patients in both the outpatient clinic and hospital setting. Her practice focuses on caring for all populations, providing a safe place for patients from all backgrounds regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation. She is passionate about teaching, service, and advocacy, volunteering with many organizations locally and nationally to promote wellness and equity for physicians and patients alike. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, traveling and experiencing all the culture that the Detroit area has to offer.

Dr. Young wants me to succeed in losing weight and generally improve my general health. That trait is not as common in the overall medical field as one would want. Dr. Young is extremely competent and she cares about her patients and that comes through.
