About Rakesh Suri
About the Provider
I am passionate about finding better ways to help people live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. In my career as a cardiothoracic surgeon, I’ve performed more than 7,000 procedures and helped pioneer new treatment protocols for mitral valve disease and complex multi-valve conditions.
I will always recommend the safest, least invasive and most effective therapy for my patients. I’m grateful to say that we can repair and save more than 99 percent of mitral valves, often using advanced, minimally invasive procedures like robotic mitral valve repair.
When patients realize that a new, repaired heart valve can have not only increase their lifespan, but greatly improve the quality of those years, we remember how blessed we are to have the opportunity to impact humanity in this way. As a doctor, nothing gives me greater joy.

Once the surgeon understood the reason for my appointment he was careful to explain the a cardiologist was needed to coordinate the necessary testing for a surgical procedure, while he felt was necessary.
