Robin J Cook, MD

As a pediatric neurologist, I help kids and families dealing with brain and nervous system conditions. I am especially passionate about complex epilepsy cases that haven’t responded well to medications. I also enjoy evaluating and treating a wide variety of neurological disorders, including functional neurological symptoms disorder, tic disorders, migraines, and developmental delays, and many others.

My approach to care is based on shared decision-making. I try to be thoughtful and thorough in my evaluations and I listen carefully to my patients and their families to understand their stories. My goal is to partner with families so that we can develop the best possible plan for their child’s care, based on the latest medical evidence as well as their individual health goals.

Helping families navigate neurological conditions over time and giving them the education they need to make informed decisions is deeply fulfilling. It’s especially rewarding to see kids grow, adapt, and get back to “just being kids” after helping them get their seizures, migraines, or other symptoms under control.

To earn the "Safe and Affirming" designation, providers individually complete an online training program which includes modules developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. For more information, click here.
