About Ronald M Hofman
About the Provider
Dr. Hofman was born in Bozeman, Montana and lived in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Los Angeles, CA, and Muskegon, MI in his youth. He is married to Heidi and has four children and seven grandchildren. A graduate of Calvin College and the University of Michigan Medical School, he completed his Pediatric Residency in Grand Rapids, joining Alger Pediatrics in 1984. He is board certified through the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He was chairman of the department of Pediatrics at Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children's Hospital from 1996-98 and Community Pediatrics chairman from 2011-2013. He is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics for Michigan State University. He has served on the board of the Foundation for Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children's Hospital since 1997, and the Corewell Health Helen DeVos Hospital Performance Committee. He is now a member of the Corewell Health Hospital Board. He has been the Pediatric Residency Primary Care Teacher of the year recipient in 1997 as well as Community Pediatrics Teacher of the year in 2012.
