About Rosemary M Olivero
About the Provider
I was a math-and-science kind of student growing up, and for a long time, I thought I’d be an engineer. But then I realized that I also wanted to work with people. I ended up applying to medical school, and I’m so happy I made that choice. Medicine combines science with a love for people, and the human element of health is what motivates me most.
I chose to specialize in pediatrics because I love working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as their families. I believe pediatric specialists really can influence children’s lives and set them up for a lifetime of good health. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and helping them shape healthy views of themselves.
Working mostly with kids and teens, I get asked a lot about my own family and hobbies, and I enjoy discussing this with my patients. Knowing that I am a mom helps them feel safe and cared for, and it sometimes gives me additional insight into how to improve a child’s health in the circumstances they are in. Every day I feel a strong sense of purpose because anytime I help a child — even in the smallest way — I know it makes the world a better place.
