Ruba Barbar, MD

Ruba Barbar, MD is a pediatric infectious disease specialist at Corewell Health Children's Hospital. After completing medical school at Damascus University in Syria, Dr. Barbar pursued a Pediatric Residency at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, in 2016. In 2020, She completed a specialized Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship at both St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. During this time, she concurrently earned a master's degree in Epidemiology at the University of Tennessee, further enhancing their expertise in the study and management of infectious diseases in pediatric populations. Dr. Barbar then returned to pediatric residency, this time at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, completing the program in 2022. In 2022, she moved to Michigan and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
