Samreen Shah, MD

I serve as Division Chief of Psychiatry for Corewell Health East, Section Head Of Psychiatry , William Beaumont University Hospital and Interim Chair of Psychiatry at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. In these roles, I provide strategic leadership for psychiatric services across the region, with a focus on expanding access to behavioral health care, advancing clinical excellence, supporting physician development, and growing innovative programs that meet the evolving needs of our communities. I work closely with clinical, operational, and academic leaders to strengthen the integration of behavioral health services across the continuum of care while advancing the missions of patient care, education, and program development.

Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I remain actively engaged in patient care and am committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered treatment. My goal is to ensure that every patient receives the highest quality psychiatric care while helping build systems and programs that improve access, outcomes, and the overall patient experience.
