He is kind, caring and knows what medications, machines I need but hasn’t asked how or if they are helping. The six-month wait to see him is ridiculous. Three months for a bronch and lavage is crazy. I have damaged other internal organs with the intensity of my cough. My G.I. Is really useless and I asked for a referral to UofM and did not get one. Sudden huge acid events are pushing some kind of very painful acid into my half collapsed lungs and floppy airways. I just want a G.I. that will look at other options besides LPR otherwise my lungs will continue to get hammered and the intensity of the tinnitus is making me deaf. I said the only thing that helped the extreme burning pain and violent cough was one very low dose of left over hydrocodone. There used to be codeine cough medicine that helped but it is no longer available. Dr Allen and all my other doctors know not only am I not addictive in nature my family’s history is ignoring or forgetting to manage pain until it is out of control. I almost laughed when my sister commented a nurse told her to stay in front of the pain. My deceased father and I are notorious for not taking pain meds. I obviously cannot take Advil, Motrin or aspirin due to the stomach inflammation (and small intestines, esophagus, station tubes, mouth, nasal passsages…). If I have to wait 6 months to see Dr Allen and 3-months for a lavage then I need someone to manage the pain and inflammation in between for all those months. I wish he, or any doctor, could see what the very sudden hitting acid events do to me. I can’t even use my machines. Most of this is not on Dr Allen it is on CoreWell. I know you are building a new tower but until there is more space there still needs to be a fast lane (other doctor’s terminology not mine) to get me into see Dr Allen. A phone call or virtual apt may help with his obviously overloaded case load. I like Dr Allen too much to ‘dump’ him. I appreciate his compassion and trying to find any doctor that knows how to treat black mold poisoning. Dr Allen does not need to improve all the systems and assistance does.

As I stated earlier in this survey, he is calm, always “present” (very important to a patient) & can expound, in depth, on any concerns I present to him. I feel like I am in “good hands”. I trust him.

Very clear communication, very pro-active, and very focused exclusively on me & my issues. Discussing control and comfort for my treatment plan was geared towards my best preparedness to use treatments at home, and informed me of the longer-term care that would be best, specifically for my situation.
