About Sandeep Sainathan
About the Provider
I wanted to be a lot of things when I was growing up — fighter pilot, engineer — but eventually I gravitated toward medicine, then pediatric heart surgery. Kids are so fun to work with, and it’s an incredible privilege to care for them and their families.
I want patients and their families to know that I am open, receptive, and respect their wishes. I am a partner in their medical journey, and while I provide expert guidance, patients and families should always have the final say. Whenever you have a question, I will always answer with transparency and compassion, providing my honest thoughts based on research and my own personal experience.
Years ago, kids with heart conditions didn’t have many options, but many of the pediatric heart surgeries we perform today have excellent long-term results. The work can be difficult and require a lot of dexterity and ingenuity. But my patients have their whole lives ahead of them, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be able to use my skills to ensure those lives are long and healthy ones.
