Seema Mahdavi, PhD

In my practice, I provide neuropsychological care for children and adolescents with a broad range of neurological conditions. I specialize in neuromuscular conditions, brain tumors, prematurity and related neonatal conditions, and congenital heart disease. I also work with different multidisciplinary care teams to screen and consult with patients.

My approach to care involves taking the time to get to know my patients and their families. By asking critical questions and evaluating all mental, physical, emotional, and social concerns, we can together create effective plans to address those concerns and optimize daily living.

One thing that motivates me is the desire to better the health of future generations. I enjoy teaching medical students and researching neuropsychological outcomes for children with congenital and acquired brain injuries. It truly brings me to joy to help children and adolescents understand how their condition affects their well-being at home, at school and in their community.
