I became a physician because I’m driven to help people and make a difference when they need it most. As a pulmonologist, I’m dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized care for each patient, no matter the diagnosis — from more common issues like COPD, asthma, and lung nodules, to more complex diseases such as lung cancer and interstitial lung disease.
I approach medicine by caring for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — because true healing involves every part of who you are. I’m thorough in my care, leaving no detail overlooked, and I’m always here when you need me most. I approach each moment with the same thoughtfulness and compassion I would give my own family, taking time to listen, explain clearly, and support each patient through every step of their journey.
It is an incredible joy to get to know my patients on a personal level and understand what matters most to them. Helping them recover and return to doing what they love is one of the most rewarding parts of my work and inspires me every day.

He was thorough and had excellent chairside manner. He respected the fact that I am a retired nurse executive with a background in oncology. He had the radiation oncologist look at my PET scan before I arrived and that was impressive.

This is my second time with the doctor, I absolutely like him. Answered all my questions and concerns. Very patients and it seems to me like he cares a lot about his patients by the way my visit was with him. Some other doctors are just like hello, what is your problem, and bye. And at times rude!!!!

Dr. Marein and the team are the best in the area. This doctor was instrumental in finding the Lung cancer. He pushed the testing until it was found. I trust him with my life.
