Shruthi Mohan, MD

I went into medicine because I care deeply about people. I am especially passionate about treating acute and chronic kidney disease and high blood pressure. I also enjoy teaching and mentoring trainees, and inspiring the next generation of doctors to consider pediatric nephrology as their career path.

My approach to care is based on empathy and partnership. I want families to feel heard, supported, and informed. Chronic conditions can feel overwhelming for families, so I focus on supporting them and easing their stress while working to improve their child’s health and quality of life. I respond to all questions with honesty and empathy, explaining what we know, what we’re still learning, and what to expect.

I find joy in being there for families when they need it most. Supporting parents when their child is sick, easing their stress, and helping their children live healthier lives drives me every day.
