Stephen Wilson, MD is a highly respected medical provider who has successfully combined traditional medicine with complementary and alternative medicine for nearly 25 years. He is board-certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. His strong empathy for those suffering in pain led him to pursue a second board certification in Pain Medicine in an effort to manage their pain and improve their quality of life. His care philosophy is to get to the root cause of pain then provide a comprehensive approach to restore function and reduce or eliminate pain; since there is no one way to treat pain.He found tremendous benefits in alternative treatments to complement his training in Pain Medicine. He then became certified in Medical Acupuncture and trained in various complementary medicine services such as Prolotherapy and Intramuscular Stimulation, both geared at helping the body heal itself. He's also recently added Regenerative Medicine (Platelet Rich Plasma) to his extensive treatment options. His Comprehensive Pain Management practice, Advanced Physical Medicine, also incorporates Physical Therapy, MLS laser therapy and Medical Massage therapy. Together, his team is committed to providing high quality care delivered with compassion.Dr. Wilson has been married for over 25 years and has 3 children. He is committed to leading by example and lives a healthy lifestyle which includes a plant based diet, daily exercise (cardio, basketball, yoga), and the occasional long distance bike races.
