About the Provider

Dr. Vollmer received his undergraduate degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University and his medical degree from the Ohio State University. He was elected Chief Resident during his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center. He also completed a Musculoskeletal Imaging fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

Dr. Vollmer has conducted research on posterior tibial tendon dysfunction and whole brain atrophy via MRI in multiple sclerosis patients. He has done presentations at the annual meeting of the American Roentgen Ray Society and guest lectures at Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Dr. Vollmer's professional memberships include the American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiological Society of North America and the Michigan State Medical Society. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
