Susan L Youngs, MD

Dr. Susan Youngs has served as the founder and medical director of the now Corewell Health Center for Exceptional Families since 1998. She studied medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School from 1989 to 1993 where she was nominated to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed a five-year combined residency in Pediatrics and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the University of Michigan Medical Center in 1998. She is triple board certified in Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Youngs is passionate about children who have developmental challenges of any kind. Through comprehensive and compassionate care, Dr. Youngs strives to join families on their unique journeys of parenting children with special needs. She aims to provide state of the art medical care and medical guidance while proving empathy, understanding and a little laughter too. She loves to celebrate every child’s success. A special trip to the prize box at the end of each visit is Dr. Youngs’ way of providing love and encouragement to every patient.
