Thompson H. Southwell, MD, urologist, earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Southwell served as an intern at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He completed his residency in surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his residency in urology at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Southwell is an associate clinical professor of urology at Michigan State University Medical School. He is a member of the West Michigan Urological Society and the American Urological Association.
