After earning his medical degree and completing his general surgery internship at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Vitaz completed his neurological surgery residency at University of Louisville. He completed a neurosurgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Vitaz comes to Spectrum Health from the Norton Neuroscience Institute in Louisville where he served as director, neurosurgical oncology, and co-director, Brain Tumor Center.
