William B Acker II, MD

Dr. Acker is a sports medicine and shoulder surgery specialist, and a team physician for the Detroit Lions. He specializes in the care of sports-related injuries of the shoulder, elbow and knee, as well as definitive treatments for shoulder-related trauma and arthritis. He is involved with the Corewell Health Orthopedic Surgery Residency, teaching the residents and fellows the art and science of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. As one of the orthopedic surgeons for the Detroit Lions, his expertise is focused on keeping and returning some of the best athletes in the world back to the field and performing at their best.
