Yasser Al-Khatib, MD

Dr. Al-Khatib is board certified in pediatric cardiology and in adult congenital heart disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of cardiac Angiography and Interventions, and a founding fellow of the Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiology Society. He completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia and his advanced cardiac intervention fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. Dr. Al-Khatib worked previously at the UCLA Medical Center and at Cleveland Clinic and has 35 years of experience

His interests and expertise include:

• Transcatheter pulmonary and tricuspid valve replacement
• Atrial septal defect ventricular septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus and patient patent foramen ovale, and transcatheter closure
• Balloon/stent angioplasty for coarctation of the aorta, pulmonary atresia, and pulmonary and systemic veins
• Valvuloplasty for newborns through adulthood
• Transcatheter device for pulmonary hypertension management.
