She completed her doctoral internship in clinical health psychology at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware, her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical health psychology at UVA Health Behavioral Medicine Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Castro also completed externships in neuropsychological assessment, psycho-diagnostic assessment, psychological assessment and parent-child interaction therapy.
